MBE — Mail Boxes Etc. provides value-added services through over 2,800 branches worldwide. Its main clients are micro and small businesses and independent professionals whose logistics it can manage comprehensively. Services include registered addresses, mailbox rental, mail and parcel receipt, collection, shipping and forwarding, graphic design, printing, web design and video production. For medium-sized and large companies, MBE primarily improves parcel delivery, specialist packaging and micrologistics.
As regional business grew, MBE struggled to track consignment stock for logistics clients. Orders arrived by email, with repeated requests for accurate stock figures. Paper-based manual processing made operations difficult. Clients could not check their own stock at MBE, causing delivery errors and substantial time spent communicating.
After analysing the main requirements, we developed an integration module that made it much easier to connect client business systems with MBE's Odoo solution for order submission.
We extended the Odoo portal so MBE clients could see their stock and all receipts and dispatches at the logistics centre. Clients without integrated systems can enter orders and advance delivery notices through the portal.
MBE Odoo also integrates with MBEnhub, which processes and returns GLS delivery information for each parcel. MBE was the first user of our mobile application, tracking all GS1 code types on Android and iOS using a phone camera or integrated scanner.
Uvid's Odoo mobile application works with Enterprise and Community, from version 6 through the current version.
